Protect Our Planet Day: Free Resources

Protecting Our Planet Day is a national celebration of environmental learning – a chance for schools and students to explore the challenges facing our planet and the scientific ideas that can help resolve them. The day highlights the importance of climate literacy, biodiversity, sustainable living, and the role young people will play in shaping a greener future.

This day reflects values we care deeply here at Educake. Environmental science appears throughout the curriculum, and helping students understand the science behind climate change, human impact, and sustainability is fundamental to our mission of supporting high-quality, accessible science education.

As outlined on our sustainability page, Educake is also committed to reducing our environmental impact. We’re continually working to lower our carbon footprint, improve the efficiency of our digital infrastructure, and embed sustainable practices across our operations. Supporting teachers with excellent resources is part of that commitment – giving them the tools to teach environmental science confidently and meaningfully.

To mark Protecting Our Planet Day, we’ve created a new set of free quizzes across key stages, all focused on sustainability and environmental science. These include quizzes for KS2 year 4 biology, KS3 chemistry, GCSE AQA chemistry, and – most excitingly – brand-new A-Level AQA chemistry and biology quizzes. These A-Level resources are a big step forward, offering support for more advanced content and giving teachers an easy, ready-to-use way to bring sustainability into their sixth-form lessons.

Whether you’re using one quiz or all of them, we hope these resources make it easier for every school to take part – and to keep the conversation going long after Protecting Our Planet Day ends.

Loved using these free quizzes with your A-level classes?
